Intro

Rod Thomas’s new single, 'Same Old Lines', will be released on 6th October and the accompanying video sees Rod with a host of sock puppets forlornly hanging on his every word. The video was put together by the team behind Noah & The Whale, Laura Marling and Mystery Jets' videos. Directed by Chris Sweeney, the 70s kids' TV show video sees rod and an army of sock puppets bring the energy of the song to life ending in a massive celebration not unlike the reaction to the song at his festival appearances.

As well as the remix, the single features brand new track 'Make Myself Desire' which had its live debut on a BBC Bristol live session. A BBC Wales session, Radio 1 session, and a phone interview on Steve Lamacq's show have all helped cement Rod as an up and coming songwriter bursting from the underground into the public's awareness. and the mixing of bittersweet lyrics with a joyful chorus an illustration of a more interesting approach to songwriting.

Rod is touring the country later this month and through large swathes of October too.
