Fashions change quickly in modern pop and a band that was in fashion suddenly become old news. Robots in Disguise rose to fame alongside the emergence of Mighty Boosh in live venues across the country. Special mention to SDF Collective and Billy Bloodaxe as they made the local support slots vital again and not just a token gesture to get friends and family along. Now the trio are three albums down the line and they still have a hardcore following them and unique tattoos and odd fashion choices fill the room tonight. They can certainly put on a show as the crowd went gaga for the anthems such as ‘Sex has made me stupid’ and ‘Turn it up’. Their brand of shouty pop is a refreshing change from the fashionable indie NME pop. They are here to party and have a good time and make it a memorable night and they succeeded. They are currently working on album number four and they might never be massive but they certainly have a place in a lot of hearts.

The Cumberland Arms, Newcastle are having an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday (4th) for both Kids and Adults alike so if you want a bit of fun pop down. The hunt starts at 12 and will go on until all the easter chocolate treats have been found! Watch out for some extra prizes along the way (attached to chocolate), you might find a Free Pint or a Kids Sunday Dinner.
