Cool For CatsCool For Cats Easter Special - Thursday 9th April †
This Thursday we see the return of the mighty COOL FOR CATS clubnight for a one off special. If you missed it the first time round, COOL FOR CATS was our flagship mid-week clubnight ran by members of This Ain't Vegas, Field Music, Frankie & the Heartstrings and DJ search warrant with regular guest appearances from the like of The Futureheads and Maximo Park. It promises to be more than a blast from the recent past as we can expect to hear all the floor-filling tunes from that decade of awful hair-cuts, the 1980s. A free-entry-before-midnight guestlist is available. Send us your names via myspace.

Music For Misfits - Saturday 11th April
Sunderland's biggest alternative night out continues this Saturday as we throw some of the biggest tunes from Indie, Drum & Bass, Nu-rave and Rock n Roll at the dancefloor. Main Room resident Phatplastic is neighboured by SMOOVE ( Jalpeno/WACK records) who, hot on the release of his new album, will set The Little Room alight as only he can. A must for all lovers of Soul, Funk and Acid Jazz. Get your names over to us for the guestlist.

Bank Holiday Sunday
We'll see Music For Misfits' resident Chris Brackley (Phatplastic) return to his roots this bank holiday Sunday as he steps down to The Little Room for a night to play all his favourite 7" ers - records, that is - encompassing Funk, Soul, Breaks and Hip Hop. Chris Djing has seen him perform at some the most notable clubs in England, namely Fabric, Elbow Rooms and The Rythmn Factory in London and his love of Breaks and Hip Hop shines through his sets.

Independent collaborator DJ Sagitarrius will be replacing Chris in the Main Room for the night. The Frankie & The Heartstrings singer - who've just finished recording their new EP with a little help from some of The Futureheads - returns to Independent's booth after a year away and with a bag new full of new tunes. Across the board Indie & Modern Classics. No Cheese.

We've got 80p drinks on all 3 nights and entry is £3, as always.
