Byker
8th March

The Joy FormidableThe London via North Wales trio were first act on the Newcastle leg of the JD set. They blasted through an attention grabbing set. They were like The Duke Spirit injected with the spirit of Elastica. I am sure they will be stars of the summer festival, packing a pop punch with a rock edge. They have been getting column inches of hype as they slowly build up and this opening slot has done their credentials no harm. A band to look out for and a band to believe in amongst the copycat indie bands, an exciting discovery.
